Blue Orchid rose from its humble beginnings as a stall in the Columbia Flower Market, London catering to florists. The last seven years has been characterised by rapid growth and diversification into the retail sector and giftware in particular. At the present time we have 37 permanent outlets in indoor and open air markets all over the UK including Portobello and Camden Markets in London. We also have stalls/shops at most of the major summer events in the UK including the Glastonbury festival. Year on year growth convinced us we should take our expertise to the high street and we opened our first shop in London in 1999. The success of our first shop was followed by the opening of 17 others in Bath, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester.

What exactly is Blue Orchid?

Blue Orchid operates in a similar manner to a normal Franchise with the notable exception that our name is not used. Our retails outlets are able to benefit from our buying power, expertise and marketing know-how whilst giving them the freedom to make many of their own decisions if they wish. The combination of support and freedom that Blue Orchid provides allows its retailers the resources of a bigger organisation without many of the restrictions which are put on proprietors of the more conventional franchise's.
